SURFACES & WARNINGS: This 3M double sided tape (1600T) is a reliable foam tape – 0.04 in / 1.0 mm thick PE foam tape. It bonds to aluminum, steel, glass, marble, tile, plastic, and hardwoods. Works on both high and low surface energy materials. Not recommended for painted drywall, heavily textured surfaces, or wallpaper – removal may lift paint or damage soft surfaces. For smooth, non-porous surfaces only.
STRENGTH & DATA: This double sided foam tape delivers 12 lb/in 90° peel adhesion, 49 lb/in² tensile strength, and 78 lb/in² shear strength (on aluminum). Waterproof, temperature-resistant, and shockproof – ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Provides a strong, long-lasting hold for lightweight to medium duty mounting.
REMOVABLE & DAMAGE-FREE: Upgraded formula offers a powerful bond that is removable and residue-free when peeled slowly from smooth surfaces. A perfect wall safe double sided tape and no damage double sided wall tape – a damage-free alternative to strips for walls, glass, and metal. Eliminates drilling, screwing, and messy glues – no holes, no sticky residue.
VERSATILE USES – RV & HOME: Ideal for RV interiors: secure carpets, curtains, decorative panels, LED strip lights, wire organizers, paper towel holders, and small hooks without drilling. Also works as picture tape for walls no damage for photos and posters, plus foam tape craft double sided for DIY projects. Great for home decor, bathroom fixtures, office cable management, and pet deterrents – perfect for renters and travelers.
EASY APPLICATION GUIDELINES: Clean surface with 50:50 isopropyl alcohol and water. Apply this double sided adhesive tape for walls at 70°F–100°F (21°C–38°C) – avoid below 50°F (10°C). Press firmly for 30 seconds. Bonds instantly with no drying or curing time needed – ready to use right away. If liner is hard to peel, cut a corner with a knife first.
